Shadows Tribute Band

Forming THE APACHES

The Apaches got together due to their combined interest in The Shadows All members used to play with Bands from the 60s onwards, and have experienced Rock n Roll first hand. All are seasoned Musicians. First of all Martyn came up with the idea of a Shadows Tribute Band as he liked their music, and he knew John was very much influenced by Hank Marvin,so he suggested this to John. They now had The Brian Bennett and Hank Marvin of the band -The two of them then went to look for a Bruce Welch and a Jet Harris. It was some time later after trying out several guitarist's that they enlisted Dave to play Rhythm, now they had a trio, still in search of a Bass Guitar. Eventually they recruited Baz,and the line up of The Shadows was complete. (2005) The only change in the band from this date has been The Bass players, when John Swift took over from Barry Burrows and now they have Ian Cross who joined in Nov 2007.

Now The Shadows have completed their Final Tour - ?  The Apaches are keeping the Shadows Music alive by playing " live" a string of their Hits, if you like The Shadows - You Will Like THE APACHES.

When it comes to Tribute Bands for The Shadows its the sound of the guitars, the ambiance of the music, close your eyes and you would think you were listening to The Shadows.

The Apaches have the sound of The Shadows, they do not even attempt the look-a-like spectrum.

The Shadows were such a special band and unique in their presentation and performance, THE APACHES are proud to perform some of their greatest hits. Also some songs from Cliff Richard.

THE APACHES PLAY THE SHADOWS.

The Echo that is used by John the Lead Guitar is a system devised by Charlie Hall who is the man

who built  Hank B Marvin's echo unit. Charlie has taken all the vintage echo sounds from Tape echo

units like the Meazzi - Binson Echorec which was a drum echo and most of these he emulated the

original echo settings that Hank used on the original recordings , he even added in some cases

the  necessary reverb as well.

Quite simply Charlie Hall is not only an unassuming and genuine person but he is also a genius

who has put together a system that enables us to play through the same system that Hank B Marvin

uses himself. This system is called :-

"Echo's From The Past" and is unrivelled in its field.

Here is Charlie at work on one of the units.

THE APACHES ARE THE SOUND OF THE SHADOWS.
